Job Description

The City of Okolona will be accepting applications for a Deputy Clerk/ Accounts Payable position.

Job Responsibility

  • Work under the direct supervision of the City Clerk
  • Assist in the production of reports, letters, and documents related to the city government
  • Assist in the collection of fines, settlement of revenues, and related record keeping
  • Maintain an efficient filing system for all activities engaged in by the city hall
  • Answer phones and build good public relations in all dealings with citizens of the city
  • Collect public utilities, taxes, privilege licenses, etc., and make daily bank deposits of received monies
  • Perform related work as required

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent
  • Two (2) years of experience in a related field preferred
