We are supporting a local authority to recruit to this position. We are seeking a proactive and experienced interim Deputy Chief Accountant to support the Chief Accountant in overseeing all financial operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Team Management: Undertake some of the day-to-day management of the team
  • Operational Oversight: Support the day-to-day audit
  • Issue Resolution: Take ownership of tackling and resolving historic financial and other audit items
  • Audit Management: Serve as the day-to-day lead on the external audit
  • Balance Sheet Management: Undertake reviews and put in place quality reconciliations
