Job Description:

Deputy Manager – Adult Residential. Birchwood House is a specialist service providing support to people living with mental health conditions, such as personality disorder, bipolar disorder, an anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, depression, mood affective disorder, self-harm behaviour, substance misuse backgrounds, etc. At Birchwood House we are committed to support eight people with Mental Health needs by providing professional and personalised care to meet the unique needs of each person we support. As Deputy Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the daily operations of our supported living services. You’ll lead and inspire a team of support staff, ensuring that we deliver outstanding care and support in line with regulatory standards (CQC/CIW). We offer you the autonomy and responsibility to make a difference while developing your leadership skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead by Example: Manage, inspire, and motivate a team of support workers
  • Service Coordination: Oversee the daily operations of our services, ensuring person-centred care is delivered and that we comply with CQC/CIW regulations
  • Rota Management: You’ll take charge of scheduling to ensure that we have the right people in the right places
  • Quality Control: Conduct audits and assessments, ensuring that we continue to meet the highest standards
  • Supportive Leadership: Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to your team, helping them grow in their careers
  • You’ll also be involved in crisis management, safeguarding, and ensuring all support plans are delivered effectively

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing and leading a team
  • Deliver high standards of person-centred care and support, working closely with residents
  • Support the Home Manager in achieving financial targets for the home
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and internal company standards
  • Take responsibility for the overall management of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle required for travel between sites
