We’re looking for a Lintels Depot Manager to join our market-leading building products distributor in Kirkby in Ashfield! Are you a strong leader with a passion for sales and operational excellence? We’re hiring a Depot Manager to lead one of our key sites for the UK’s No. 1 distributor of lintels. This is a pivotal leadership role, managing a high-performing team and delivering outstanding service to National, Regional, and Local Developers. As we enter our next exciting phase of growth, your leadership will help drive continued success.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide clear leadership and direction to all depot staff, creating a positive and productive working environment
  • Manage day-to-day depot operations to ensure high levels of efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers across all tiers—from national housebuilders to local trades
  • Take ownership of stock control, logistics, site safety, and service standards
  • Deliver against performance targets while supporting wider business strategy and growth

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in depot, branch, or operations management—ideally within building materials, construction supplies, or a related field
  • Able to lead by example, motivate teams, and create a high-performance culture
  • Commercially astute, with excellent organisational and decision-making skills
  • Strong customer focus with a commitment to quality and service
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to manage challenges and drive improvement
