Job Description

The Depot Activation Manager is responsible for leading, motivating, and developing a team of four Depot Activation Representatives operating across multiple Cash & Carry sites, nationally. The role ensures supplier contractual compliance, strong product visibility, and effective in-depot sales execution while driving team performance, consistency, and high operational standards. This is a field-based role and includes a car allowance.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead, manage, and support a team of four Depot Activation Representatives across a multi-site territory
  • Set clear objectives and KPIs aligned to sales, compliance, and merchandising standards
  • Coach, train, and develop team members to maximise performance and product knowledge
  • Conduct regular field visits, meetings, and one to one performance reviews
  • Motivate the team to deliver consistent execution and strong customer engagement
  • Ensure all Cash & Carry depots meet supplier contractual display agreements
  • Oversee the quality, placement, and maintenance of all display materials
  • Ensure product ranges are positioned to maximise visibility and customer opportunity
  • Maintain high standards of presentation, compliance, and brand representation across all sites
  • Drive focused product and range sales through effective in-depot activity
  • Support the team in building strong relationships with depot staff and customers
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales, distribution, and promotional impact
  • Lead by example through hands-on support when required
  • Monitor stock levels across depots and address availability issues
  • Analyse performance data and team feedback to identify trends and opportunities
  • Provide accurate reporting on compliance, sales activity, and depot performance
  • Act as the key point of contact between the field team and internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • Proven experience in field sales, merchandising, or depot/cash & carry environments
  • Previous people management experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and organisational skills
  • Commercially aware with a focus on driving results and standards
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Able to work independently in a field-based role
  • Full UK driving licence required
