We are looking for a Deployment Technician to join a short-term Contract assignment. You will be responsible for going to different offices throughout Minnesota and switching out equipment. (rental vehicle available). In this role, you will support a time-sensitive rollout of tablet kiosk systems, combining hands-on installation work with onsite technical problem-solving. This opportunity is well suited to someone who enjoys working in the field, collaborating closely with a deployment team, and delivering reliable results within a defined project schedule.
Job Responsibility
Travel to assigned sites throughout the region to complete kiosk deployment activities and support project timelines
Install, configure, and test tablet-based queuing devices to confirm they are operating correctly in each location
Diagnose and address routine hardware, connectivity, and setup issues encountered during onsite implementation
Verify that each device meets project standards before leaving the customer location
Provide clear status updates to the project team and document completed work, issues, and next steps
Work alongside another technician to manage daily deployment targets efficiently and professionally
Support scheduled inventory or storage checks, including occasional weekend visits when needed.
Requirements
Previous experience in hardware rollout projects, field support, desktop support, or related technical deployment work
Working knowledge of device setup, basic troubleshooting, and general networking concepts
Ability to perform hands-on technical work in customer-facing environments with professionalism
Willingness and ability to travel frequently and adapt to changing site schedules
Dependable work habits and the ability to commit fully to a short-duration project
Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with teammates and project leads
Experience with hardware installation is required.
