Deployment Strategist role centers around leveraging data in operational and real-world action. Responsible for turning customer hunches about using data to solve complex problems into reality. Work as part of a team to deploy software against challenging world problems, synthesizing disconnected streams of thought into a cohesive understanding of problems, data, product needs, user motivations, and potential impact.
Job Responsibility:
Go onsite and meet with customer analysts to understand critical questions and pain points
Identify relevant datasets and work with engineers to integrate data into pipelines
Work with the customer to build bespoke workflows for new user groups
Lead training sessions to ensure product meets user needs and is used widely
Present results and proposals to audiences ranging from analysts to C-suite executives
Embed with Software Engineering and Product Design teams to incorporate field insights into product offerings
Build and deliver demos to customers
Scope out potential engagements in new industries and locations
Requirements:
Active US DoD Secret or higher Security Clearance
Willing and able to work from the Research Triangle region
Extraordinary ability to take on open-ended problems in unstructured environments
Adaptive and introspective
willing to learn, teach, lead and follow
Ability to travel 25 – 75% required
Nice to have:
Experience with programming, scripting or statistical packages (e.g. Python, R, Matlab, SQL)
