The Deployment Specialist is responsible for the daily replenishment planning and management of product deployment from the Global Logistics Center (GLC) to local Distribution Center. Provides support to ensure the daily deployment plan is completed and works closely with the Network Planners, GLC, Transportation, 3PL's, and Carriers. This role maintains, leads and executes the deployment plan to support needs and meet objectives. The Deployment Specialist manages and drives the daily product distribution and replenishments loads using the following systems: DRP Plan from Rapid Response, Transportation Warehouse Optimization (TWO), LEAN Logistics, Warehouse Management System (WMS), and JDE.
Job Responsibility:
Execute the daily deployment plan
Determine finished good inventory levels based upon inventory strategies and business rules. Monitor code level inventory at the GLC and Distribution Centers to meet service targets and business level objectives
Lead the deployment of short supply product to ensure quick recovery of inventory position in the network
Manage inbound and outbound deployments in 3PL facilities as required
Partner with planning and GLC teams to better understand forecast and determine appropriate distribution plans
Ensure replenishment load trailers are fully used based upon freight requirements by manually handling product deployment
Interact with Customer Service and Marketing regarding product EDAVs to minimize expedited shipping cost and customer impact
Work to develop shipping schedules for replenishment loads to optimize truck load replenishment and meet service targets
Work with Transportation and Logistics to minimize freight and handling costs based on business requirements
Manage product conversion, new product launch into the distribution network
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of applicable professional experience required
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and function as a liaison with key partners
Capability to analyze large amounts of data to identify solutions to delays or other issues
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, execute daily tasks on a timely basis, and basic project management skills
Excellent organizational, written and verbal communications
Ability to solve complex problems and identify solutions
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
Must be able to work with a high degree of independence and be a self-starter
