Job Description

Figure is an AI robotics company developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. The goal of the company is to ship humanoid robots with human level intelligence. Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA. We are looking for a Deployment Operations Manager. In summary, this person will be responsible for planning and executing all of Figure’s commercial deployments. This role requires excellent leadership, problem solving, and communication skills.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan and lead the deployment of humanoid robots on customer sites
  • Hire and build teams to deploy robots at customer sites
  • Establish protocols for the distributed deployment teams
  • Drive product & feature development, use case validation, and onsite testing plans based on feedback from deployment teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Experience defining team strategy and multiyear growth plan
  • Excellent judgment, team leadership, and execution in high-pressure situations
  • Management of several employees
  • Customer-facing experience

Nice to have

  • Experience with automation/robotics integration and deployment, e-commerce operations, technical or engineering consulting, and/or technical program management
  • Experience with onsite, hands-on new technology development, testing, and iterative improvement

  • Lead the generalist technician pool on a day to day basis, ensuring the right people are allocated to the right shows and tasks in line with business needs and agreed staffing levels

  • Oversee the deployment of pool technicians, coordinating with labour planning to balance show requirements, travel, TOIL, leave and training commitments
