As a Department Manager, you’ll be the leader supporting and encouraging your whole team. Ensuring an excellent operational & visual experience for your store, customers & colleagues. You’ll be aware of your store’s strengths, opportunities, and competitors. Analyze and follow up on sales, and create plans to optimize results and profits.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for the total OMNI customer experience in your store
Ensure visual and commercial curation according to global guidelines
Represent the H&M brand positively during customer interactions
Be aware of and take responsibility of your department's strengths and identify commercial opportunities
Establish & analyze sales and budget goals, creating plans to optimize results
Ensure customer service is provided in all areas of the store
Ensure your team is actively promoting our Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) & in-store sustainability initiatives
Manage your department in a cost-efficient way
Ensure correct routines in fitting room and checkout
Ensure all admin routines for both people and operations are handled correctly
Keep up-to-date with fashion scene, trends, tendencies, styles, brands, products, competitors and relevant influencers
Ensure your team provides product and fashion knowledge during customer interactions
Responsible for recruitment, onboarding, performance management, upskilling & developing your team
Complete performance evaluations and succession planning
Retain and share your knowledge and skills with your team
Collaboration, planning & teamwork with in-store Visual Merchandiser team
Give & receive feedback with your colleagues
Responsible for the teams planning & scheduling
Regular communication to store colleagues to inform, motivate and inspire
Ensure all procedures, routines, and legal requirements are followed
Participate in relevant Onboarding & introduction processes, trainings and courses
Secure a clean and tidy sales floor and back of house
Ensure high fashion quality, visual and commercial product presentation
Secure good stock levels and provide input on allocation to Area team
Ensure the full garment cycle – from delivery to garment presentation – and fitting room routines are according to standards
Upkeep & follow best practice for any in-store OMNI Services & in-store tech services/tools
Secure a strong balance and the maintenance of price signs in-store
Updating & upkeep of BOH Areas for all colleagues
Responsible for opening & closing of store daily
