Performs general secretarial duties to include processing mail, ordering and maintaining supplies, typing, filing, photocopying, faxing, coordinating meetings, and transcribing minutes. Serves as a receptionist to the department. Provides exceptional professional and courteous service to all internal and external customers. Assist in maintaining the daily operation of the Department. Assist in data analysis and report trends to management as needed. Works with little supervision with the ability to use critical thinking skills and utilize own judgment in making decisions. Other duties as assigned.
Job Responsibility:
Contact patients to schedule visits
Telephone patient to remind him/her of scheduled appointment and answer any questions
Copy driver’s license and insurance documentation
Notify technician of patient’s readiness
Performs secretarial duties
Answers telephone calls and patient requests
Possesses friendly and professional telephone technique
Completes assigned typing in an accurate and timely manner
Distributes reports to Medical Records, physicians, and to DME referral
Maintains filing system that can be accessed by staff members
Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy consistently in general duties
Maintain minutes of meetings involving staff members
Designs new forms as required
Reports problems with the normal workflow (incoming or outgoing) to management
Coordinates daily tasks while prioritizing work with specific timeframe requirements
Helps with maintaining weekly laundry order
Performs mail runs as necessary
Assemble patient charts
Maintains adequate supplies for smooth operation of services
Orders non-stock and stock supplies
Orders office supplies
Receives and check supplies received
Requirements:
High School Diploma required
General knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
