Job Description

Responsible for coordinating and facilitating the routine activities of the assigned department. Assists with department work load by performing clerical activities necessary for the efficient and effective operation of the department.

Job Responsibility

  • Processing mail, ordering and maintaining supplies, typing, filing, photocopying, faxing, coordinating meetings, and transcribing minutes
  • Serves as receptionist to the department
  • Provides exceptional professional and courteous service to all internal and external customers
  • Assist in maintaining the daily operation of the Department
  • Assist in data analysis and report trends to management as needed
  • Works with little supervision with ability to use critical thinking skills and utilize own judgment in making decisions
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
  • Competent understanding of medical terminology is desirable
  • Must demonstrate good interpersonal and analytical skills, the ability to work under stress and maintain composure, be able to prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality
  • Six months to a year clerical experience, preferably in hospitals, or an equivalent combination of training
  • None required (licenses)

Nice to have

Competent understanding of medical terminology is desirable
