Job Description

The town of Wayland seeks qualified candidates for a full-time union Department Assistant position in the Treasurer/Collector’s Office. Position processes revenue for the town of Wayland; performs a variety of skilled complex bookkeeping, cashiering, record keeping, and clerical support work. Responsible for processing cash receipts for all residential and commercial properties; prepares month end and year end reports for accounting department and outside auditors. Provides customer service, handles, processes and accounts for all town of Wayland receivables. Must have a high school diploma and two-plus years experience in bookkeeping and/or accounts receivables. Associate degree in related field preferred. Experience with MUNIS a plus. Salary Range: $57,588 – $72,304.
