The role involves planning and delivering engaging, classroom-based theoretical teaching, alongside assessing learners in practice through workplace observations and performance reviews.

Job Responsibility:

  • Coaching and mentoring of apprentices studying the Level 3 Dental Nurse Practitioner Diploma and Level 2 Functional Skills in Mathematics
  • Planning and delivering engaging, classroom-based theoretical teaching
  • Assessing learners in practice through workplace observations and performance reviews
  • Regular travel to dental practices in and around the North West area

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Dental Nursing qualification (C&G / NEBDN)
  • Current GDC registration
  • Proven experience working as a dental nurse
  • Awareness of current dental practices, techniques, and educational methodologies
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle at all times
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deliver complex information clearly and engagingly
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Close attention to detail when assessing learner progress
  • Ability to identify development needs and recommend improvement strategies

Nice to have:

  • CAVA and AET qualifications (or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching, training, or mentoring trainee dental nurses
  • Experience assessing skills and knowledge in line with City & Guilds standards
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and online assessment tools
  • Ability to adapt teaching and assessment approaches to suit different learning styles
  • Experience providing constructive, timely, and supportive feedback
