Job Description:

You’ll be the first smile our patients see, helping to make every visit a positive and professional experience. Prospect Street Dental Practice in Reading is looking for an experienced and organised Dental Receptionist to join our friendly front-of-house team. If you have strong reception skills from a dental, healthcare, or clinical environment — or proven experience in a busy patient-facing role — we’d love to hear from you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Greeting and checking in patients with warmth and professionalism
  • Managing appointment bookings and clinician diaries
  • Handling calls, emails, and patient enquiries efficiently
  • Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient records
  • Liaising closely with clinicians and the wider team
  • Keeping the reception environment organised, calm, and welcoming

Requirements:

  • Experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar role within a dental, medical, or clinical setting
  • Confident managing bookings, schedules, and patient communications
  • Excellent communication skills with a calm, professional approach
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and multitasking effectively
  • Strong PC and administrative skills
  • Warm, approachable, and committed to delivering outstanding patient care
