Job Description:

Maternity Cover: Dental Nurse & Receptionist. We’re looking for a dedicated Dental Nurse and Receptionist to join our team full-time on a 12-month maternity cover contract, starting approximately November/December. While this position is initially for maternity cover, there is a strong possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide high-quality chairside assistance to clinicians during dental procedures
  • Ensure patients feel comfortable, cared for, and in safe hands at every visit
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and well-organised clinical environment
  • Anticipate the needs of both the dentist and hygienist to keep things running smoothly
  • Support patients with oral hygiene education and post-treatment care
  • Be the friendly first point of contact for all patients, in person, over the phone, and via email
  • Manage appointments, schedules, and patient communications efficiently
  • Process payments, treatment plans, and insurance claims with accuracy and professionalism
  • Keep the front desk organised and ensure a smooth flow of patients throughout the day
  • Coordinate between clinical and administrative teams to maintain excellent patient service

Requirements:

  • Holds relevant dental nursing qualifications (IDC registration preferred but not essential)
  • Has experience in dental nursing and/or dental reception
  • Is warm, professional, and passionate about excellent patient care
  • Is confident with computers and dental software systems
  • Has excellent communication, multitasking, and organisational skills
  • Enjoys being part of a supportive team
  • Can adapt easily in a busy, fast-paced environment
