Job Responsibility
Provide high-quality preventive and therapeutic hygiene care, including cleanings, scaling, and root planing as needed
Perform comprehensive periodontal assessments and accurately chart findings
Educate patients on oral hygiene, home care, and overall dental health
Take digital X-rays and intraoral images
Assist the doctor with exams and help co-diagnose treatment needs
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in Dentrix
Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organized operatory
Collaborate with team members to ensure an efficient and positive patient experience
Support office goals and contribute to a productive, fast-paced environment
Requirements
Active dental hygienist license (state-specific)
Minimum of 1 year of clinical hygiene experience preferred
Friendly, dependable, and reliable with a strong work ethic
Strong communication skills and ability to build patient relationships
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
Experience with Dentrix is a plus
Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
Current dental hygienist license
Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
CPR Certification
Nice to have
Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
