Job Description:

As a clinical provider and patient advocate, you’ll be given all the resources you need to provide exceptional care, while expanding your clinical skillset. You’ll work in an environment that encourages full clinical autonomy, backed by the ability to tap into a hygiene mentor program.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide high‑quality patient care with a focus on education, prevention, and comfort
  • Perform dental prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, and related hygiene services
  • Build trusting patient relationships and encourage ongoing oral health engagement
  • Document accurate, detailed, and compliant clinical notes
  • Collaborate closely with doctors and team members to meet practice goals
  • Support patient flow and maintain organization in a fast-paced setting
  • Contribute to a warm and welcoming atmosphere for every patient
  • Stay current with continuing education and evolving clinical best practices

Requirements:

  • Active Alabama Dental Hygiene license (or eligibility upon graduation)
  • Strong communication and patient rapport-building abilities
  • Motivated, kind, goal-oriented, and highly team-focused
  • Friendly, energetic, and enthusiastic with a people‑centered communication style
  • Dentrix experience is appreciated but not required — training available
  • Commitment to consistent, high-quality clinical care and professionalism
  • Current dental hygienist license
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification

Nice to have:

  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health

  • Check out with dental contact at facility, including review of chart notes. Leave printed copies of chart notes with facilities for patient charts
