Job Responsibility:
Provide exceptional patient care with a strong emphasis on education, prevention, and building patient trust
Perform dental hygiene procedures including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing (SRP), periodontal assessments, fluoride treatments, and sealants
Collaborate closely with dentists and team members to support seamless patient flow and deliver a consistent, high‑quality experience
Maintain accurate, detailed clinical notes and follow all compliance, OSHA, and infection‑control standards
Support the team by assisting with workflow needs, helping wherever needed, and contributing to a positive, solutions‑focused environment
Communicate effectively with patients about treatment plans, periodontal disease, home care guidance, and follow‑up care
Requirements:
South Carolina Dental Hygiene License (or eligibility upon graduation)
Experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply!
Passion for patient education, preventive care, and evidence-based hygiene practices (fluoride, SRP, periodontal protocols, etc.)
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support teammates and adapt to different providers’ styles
Coachable, motivated, and comfortable working in a goal-driven environment
Strong communication skills and a commitment to creating a welcoming, comfortable experience for every patient
Current dental hygienist license
Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
CPR Certification
Nice to have:
Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment
