Job Responsibility
Perform thorough dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and preventive treatments
Conduct patient assessments, take and interpret dental radiographs, and record accurate charting
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, periodontal health, and preventative care
Assist the dentist in identifying and diagnosing dental and periodontal conditions
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe operatory in compliance with infection control standards
Build rapport with patients and contribute to a welcoming, professional office environment
Collaborate effectively with dentists, assistants, and front office team members to support seamless patient flow
Requirements
Current Wisconsin Dental Hygienist license in good standing
Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Energetic, positive attitude with a team-first mindset
Ability to provide gentle, patient-centered care
Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
Nice to have
Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
Clinical needs as required by office
Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment
