Dentistry at Hagerstown is looking for a caring, motivated Dental Hygienist to join our close‑knit, family‑oriented team! We’re a 1‑doctor practice led by Dr. Weir, known for our supportive culture, personalized patient care, and strong community relationships. Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver exceptional preventive and periodontal care
  • Build trusting relationships with patients and educate them on oral health
  • Partner with Dr. Weir and the team to ensure high‑quality care
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation
  • Provide care using the latest evidence‑based standards and technology

Requirements:

  • Current dental hygienist license
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification
  • Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment

Nice to have:

  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health

  • Enter chart notes for treatment provided into Salesforce at the time of treatment
  • Ensure that OSHA safety and cleanliness regulations are followed during patient treatment
  • Ensure that disposables are handled correctly before leaving facilities
  • Check out with dental contact at facility, including review of chart notes. Leave printed copies of chart notes with facilities for patient charts
