Job Responsibility
Provide thorough dental cleanings and preventive care to patients
Educate patients on oral hygiene and best dental care practices
Perform periodontal charting and assessments
Take digital x-rays and assist in diagnosing dental conditions
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Dentrix
Ensure a comfortable and positive patient experience
Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality care
Stay current on best practices and advancements in dental hygiene
Requirements
Active Dental Hygienist license in Illinois
Local Anesthesia and Nitrous certification
New graduates and experienced hygienists welcome
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
Patient care experience and a passion for providing exceptional service
Current dental hygienist license
Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
CPR Certification
Nice to have
Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
Clinical needs as required by office
Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment
