Perform comprehensive dental hygiene care, including prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, and preventive services
Educate patients on oral health, treatment recommendations, and home care techniques with compassion and clarity
Take, review, and document dental radiographs and clinical findings accurately
Maintain thorough and timely patient records
Collaborate closely with dentists and team members to ensure excellent patient care and smooth workflow
Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control guidelines
Contribute positively to a strong, team‑focused and supportive office culture
Requirements
Active or pending Alabama Dental Hygiene license (new graduates are welcome to apply)
Ability to work a full‑time Monday–Thursday schedule
Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
Flexible, easy‑going, and coachable attitude
Strong communication skills and a patient‑first mindset
Team‑oriented with a willingness to grow and learn
Current dental hygienist license
Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
CPR Certification
Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment
Nice to have
Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
