Casual opportunity. Receptionist - 1 day per week (must be Friday) plus leave coverage. Dental Assistant - 2 days per week (Wed / Thurs during academic session times) or as required. This role would suit an individual with sound dental assisting skills and understanding of infection control within the dental environment. You will also be a great team player and have a focus on the provision of quality patient care.
Job Responsibility:
As a Dental Receptionist: first point of contact for patients
coordinate the scheduling of patient appointments
welcoming patients to the clinic
providing relevant information
banking
invoicing
collecting of fees and payments
participating in safe-work practices as determined by dental regulatory agencies
As a Dental Assistant: providing quality clinical and professional assistance and support to oral health clinicians, teaching staff and dentistry students to ensure a high level of patient care is delivered
Requirements:
Completion of Certificate III in Dental Assisting or at least 4 years’ demonstrated experience in dental assisting, or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any other combination of education, training and/or experience
High level communication skills
Demonstrated ability to liaise with a range of individuals whilst maintaining privacy and confidentiality
Good numerical skills to accurately and efficiently process banking and financial reconciliations
Previous experience using patient management systems and a high level of typing accuracy
