This position plays a vital role in supporting daily operations, providing excellent administrative and patient service, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the front office.
Job Responsibility:
Greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow in a professional manner
Input and maintain accurate patient records in Dentrix, including updating demographics, insurance details, and treatment notes
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, obtain pre-authorizations, and process patient billing and payments
Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure timely and efficient patient care
Handle patient communications, appointment reminders, rescheduling, and day-to-day inquiries
Maintain and organize digital and physical files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA guidelines
Support other administrative tasks as needed, including inventory checks and supply ordering
Requirements:
1–2 years of experience in a dental office administrative/support role
Proficiency with Dentrix dental practice management software
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively
High school diploma or equivalent required
Nice to have:
additional dental office or administrative certification is a plus
