Job Description

Vivid are working with a North West local authority to support their Democratic Services function during a period of increased committee activity. The authority is seeking an experienced officer who can hit the ground running and provide immediate support across key statutory committees. This is a 3-month interim opportunity supporting Licensing and Development Control committees. The role offers hybrid working with some flexibility around office days and will require attendance at evening meetings approximately 2–3 times per month.

Job Responsibility

  • Administer and support Licensing and Development Control committees
  • Prepare, publish, and manage agendas, reports, and minutes using Modern.Gov
  • Attend committee meetings, including evening meetings, and take accurate minutes
  • Ensure meetings are conducted in line with relevant legislation and council procedures

Requirements

  • Proven experience of minute taking at formal committee meetings
  • Strong working knowledge of the Modern.Gov system
  • Good understanding of local authority governance and decision-making processes
  • Availability to start at short notice
  • Flexibility to attend evening meetings 2–3 times per month
