An Epic Icon needs an Epic Team! Are you looking for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? Ayers Rock Resort is searching for a Demi Chef to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is 20 min drive from Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landmarks. The highlight of being a Demi Chef here is the opportunity to work with a team of experienced chefs who will mentor and guide you in your culinary career. You will be able to work with fresh, local ingredients, and be involved in creating menus that showcase the flavors of the region. This isn't just a job. This is an experience that'll leave you with enough memories to last a lifetime.

Job Responsibility:

  • Undertake all kitchen and service duties including cleaning, food preparation, basic cookery, organisation and guest service
  • Understand and follow the running sheets for setting up the different sections for both morning and night service
  • Assist in the supervision of junior kitchen staff by providing instruction of duties
  • Assist in the running of sections in the kitchen during the absence of the Chef De Partie

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years post apprenticeship experience in a kitchen team within large restaurants, events, hotels or resorts
  • A la carte and buffet experience
  • HACCP training is advantageous
