Ayers Rock Resort is searching for a Demi Chef to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is 20 min drive from Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landmarks. We are seeking a passionate and Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) qualified individual who is driven and focused with a desire to learn and succeed in a culinary/hospitality career. You will have minimum 2 years post apprenticeship experience working in a kitchen team within large restaurants, events, hotels or resorts, to working with a group of like-minded legends. A la carte and buffet experience will be highly regarded, HACCP training is advantageous.
Job Responsibility
Undertake all kitchen and service duties including cleaning, food preparation, basic cookery, organisation and guest service
Understand and follow the running sheets for setting up the different sections for both morning and night service
Assist in the supervision of junior kitchen staff by providing instruction of duties
Assist in the running of sections in the kitchen during the absence of the Chef De Partie
Requirements
Minimum 2 years post apprenticeship experience working in a kitchen team within large restaurants, events, hotels or resorts
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
