Job Responsibility:
Maintain a clean and organised workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
Prepare and present à la carte dishes to the highest standard of quality and consistency
Collaborate with the team to continuously enhance our culinary offerings
Maintain impeccable hygiene and kitchen standards in line with HACCP requirements
Demonstrate creativity, precision, and pride in every plate
Collaborate with the kitchen team to streamline processes and improve efficiency
Contribute creative ideas for menu development and dish presentation
Assist in inventory management and minimise food waste
Respond promptly and professionally to special dietary requests and guest feedback
Support senior chefs during peak hours and special events
Participate in regular team meetings to discuss performance and areas for improvement
Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to enhance our menu offerings
Assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes according to our menu and chef's specifications.
Requirements:
Culinary school diploma or equivalent qualification
1-2 years of relevant work experience in a hotel or restaurant, particularly in à la carte service
Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong teamwork skills with a collaborative and positive attitude
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various food preparation techniques
In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Creativity and flair for innovative dish presentation
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
Passion for culinary arts and commitment to continuous learning
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a dynamic kitchen environment.
