Job Description:

The Demi Chef is responsible for preparing a variety of food for hotel outlets and replacing any section chefs during their absence, conducting duties in accordance with the hotel’s policies, ensuring high levels of service.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare a variety of food for guests in the hotel outlets
  • Conduct duties courteously, safely, and efficiently
  • Check cleanliness and stock rotation in the kitchen
  • Control mise en place preparation for the next day
  • Ensure top-class service for guests
  • Assist in food requisition
  • Report pending problems
  • Train Commis chefs
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel menus and outlets
  • Minimize food wastage
  • Anticipate guest needs through observation
  • Comply with Workplace Health & Safety and company policies
  • Align with Sheraton’s Code of Conduct
  • Assist the Chef
  • Undertake additional duties requested by supervisors
  • Follow food safety program

Requirements:

  • Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
  • At least 1 year of related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
