Job Responsibility:

  • Run your section smoothly during prep and service, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
  • Maintain high standards of food presentation, cleanliness, and organisation
  • Support junior chefs, sharing your knowledge and helping each other grow
  • Follow recipes and plating guides while also bringing your own flair to the kitchen
  • Work efficiently to meet prep schedules, service times, and reduce food waste
  • Uphold food hygiene and safety standards at all times
  • Communicate clearly with the team to keep service flowing seamlessly
  • Contribute to a positive, respectful, and supportive kitchen culture.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a Commis Chef role within a hotel operation or independent venue
  • Natural team player who can motivate others and take direction with a positive attitude
  • Passionate about food, bold flavours, and delivering consistently excellent dishes
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to cleanliness
  • Understand the balance of creativity and discipline required in a professional kitchen
  • Communicate clearly and work well with both back and front-of-house teams
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and keep a cool head during busy services.
