Job Description:

The role involves preparing and cooking food, monitoring food quality, ensuring proper presentation, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen according to the Gold Standards of The Ritz-Carlton.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare cold foods and ingredients for cooking (weighing, measuring, mixing, portioning, chopping, and storing food)
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist, establishing priority items
  • Monitor food quality while preparing food
  • Serve food in proper portions onto dishes, plates, mugs, and bowls, ensuring proper plate appearance
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment

Requirements:

  • Minimum Certificate 3 in Cookery
  • I’m Alert Food Safety Certification (from City of Perth)
  • Unrestricted working rights for Australia
