Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in the preparation and production of high-quality pastry items, desserts, and plated sweets
  • Support the Chef de Partie in daily pastry operations, ensuring consistency in quality, taste, and presentation
  • Prepare and maintain mise en place efficiently to ensure smooth and timely service
  • Follow established recipes and presentation standards, while remaining open to learning new pastry techniques and trends
  • Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in line with HACCP and food safety regulations
  • Ensure proper stock rotation and assist in monitoring inventory levels within the pastry section
  • Collaborate closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure seamless execution for restaurants, banquets, and events
  • Take responsibility for your section when delegated and proactively resolve any operational challenges during service
  • Demonstrate initiative in developing your pastry skills and creativity under the guidance of senior chefs
  • Handle guest dietary requirements and special dessert requests with care and attention to detail, delivering personalized and memorable experiences

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a professional pastry kitchen, preferably within a hotel or fine dining environment
  • Culinary certification or diploma in Pastry Arts or a related field is preferred
  • Strong passion for pastry and dessert creation, with a keen eye for detail, texture, and presentation
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills to manage mise en place and service demands efficiently
  • A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow
  • Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards within a pastry environment
