Job Description:

Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers in a luxury hospitality setting. Create decorative food displays and ensure proper food presentation while maintaining quality standards and food safety protocols at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta Pacific Place.

Job Responsibility:

Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers
Determine food presentation and create decorative food displays
Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
Monitor quantity of food prepared
Inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out of stock items
Prepare special meals or substitute items
Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks
Provide cooks with needed items
Monitor stock of kitchen supplies and food
Maintain kitchen logs for food safety program
Ensure quality of food items and notify manager of issues
Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining employees
Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
Address guests' service needs
Develop and maintain positive working relationships

Requirements:

Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
4 to 6 years of related work experience
At least 2 years of supervisory experience
Ability to supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers
Knowledge of food presentation and decorative food displays
Understanding of proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
Ability to monitor food quantities and inform staff of menu specials
Experience preparing special meals or substitute items
Ability to maintain kitchen logs for food safety programs
Follow company safety and security policies and procedures
Physical ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Ability to reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 25 pounds
