This medium-sized, well-regarded nursing and dementia home is seeking a compassionate, driven and experienced dementia professional to lead one of its specialist dementia suites. This is an excellent opportunity for a Dementia Manager or Dementia Specialist who is passionate about delivering outstanding, person-centred care and developing high-performing care teams.
Job Responsibility:
Providing strong, visible leadership to care teams within the dementia unit
Ensuring residents receive high-quality, compassionate, person-centred dementia care
Supporting residents to live safe, dignified and fulfilling lives in line with their individual care needs
Overseeing the completion, review and ongoing development of care plans, ensuring compliance with company policy and best practice
Promoting a culture of excellence, continuous improvement and best practice in dementia care
Ensuring the suite meets CQC standards and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Dementia Manager or Dementia Specialist within a care home or similar setting
At least 2 years’ experience in a leadership role within dementia care
Extensive experience working within a dementia care environment (minimum 3 years)
Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance specific to dementia services
A genuine passion for dementia care, quality improvement and team development
Nice to have:
A recognised dementia qualification (e.g. Dementia Care Mapping, Level 3 or 5 Health & Social Care with a dementia focus)
