Job Description

With a team member on the move, we are looking for a Demand & Supply Planner to join our client’s globally resourced supply chain team. In this role, you will take ownership of demand and supply planning for set product categories, supporting and improving the planning process while building toward involvement in broader planning cycles, including Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP). You will work closely with warehouse and operations teams to gain visibility of inventory, actively manage stock, and ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time. You will be supported to develop your knowledge and skills in the business’s evolving S&OP process, giving you the opportunity to grow into broader planning responsibilities while having a real impact from day one.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage demand and supply planning for assigned product categories, ensuring accurate forecasts and timely replenishment
  • Support new product introductions, ensuring master data is activated and shared promptly
  • Incorporate Sales feedback into forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Analyse and create purchase plans by material and warehouse, aligned with policies and processes
  • Maintain supply chain parameters (transit times, stock coverage, frequency) to optimise inventory
  • Proactively manage back orders and reduce out-of-stock situations by addressing root causes
  • Conduct monthly analysis of forecast errors, implement corrective actions, and report findings
  • Identify excess or slow-moving stock and develop strategies with Sales, Marketing, and Finance
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure collaborative stock availability
  • Support the NZ Planning Lead in standardising systems and processes across the region
  • Spend time in the warehouse working with operational teams to improve inventory visibility and accuracy

Requirements

  • Experience in demand forecasting, supply planning or supply chain analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, spot trends and turn insights into action
  • Comfortable engaging with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations
  • Proactive learner ready to take responsibility for category planning and develop into broader S&OP involvement
  • Confident communicator, organised and hands-on. Willing to spend time in the warehouse to understand stock realities
