The primary objective of this role is to develop and maintain an accurate 18-month demand forecast for suppliers and contract manufacturers, supporting supply planning, inventory optimization, and alignment with customer demand and revenue objectives. This position contributes to the S&OP and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes by delivering high-quality demand insights, improving forecast accuracy, and enabling informed decision-making across Sales, Operations, and Finance, with a strong focus on analytics and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and maintain 18-month rolling demand forecasts for suppliers and Contract Manufacturers (CMs) using SAP IBP, ensuring a reliable demand signal for supply and inventory planning
Consolidate, validate, and analyze demand inputs during the Demand Review as part of the S&OP cycle, ensuring alignment across functions
Continuously improve forecasting methodologies, assumptions, and accuracy, incorporating statistical analysis and business insights
Maintain accurate and relevant planning data in IBP, including phase-in/phase-out details, lifecycle flags, and product transitions
Partner closely with PLM and NPI to ensure product roadmap and lifecycle changes are accurately reflected in the demand plan
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, and regional teams to align demand assumptions and highlight gaps or risks
Monitor inventory health, identifying risks related to excess, obsolescence, or shortages, and support mitigation actions
Review E&O materials and support scrap ticket initiation in accordance with established processes
Analyze Safety Stock and support IBP Inventory Optimization (IO) planning to balance service levels and inventory investment
Deliver analytical insights, scenario analysis, and risk assessments to support planning and business decisions
Ensure adherence to the demand planning calendar and promote continuous improvement in data quality and planning processes
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field
5+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, or Sales Planning within a manufacturing or supply chain environment
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with hands-on experience using statistical forecasting tools
Proven experience working within IBP and S&OP frameworks
Ability to integrate commercial and sales insights with analytical rigor
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in a cross-functional, global environment
Comfortable managing ambiguity and contributing to process improvement initiatives
Experience with ERP and planning tools (SAP, SAP IBP, Power BI or similar) preferred
IBF or ASCM certification (CPF, CPIM, CSCP) is a plus
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
