Job Description:

The role of Demand Planner involves using insights to forecast demand for food products within IKEA, contributing to projects around food range development and supply chain optimization. The position involves collaboration with various departments and an international environment. It's a full-time, onsite role based in Älmhult, Sweden, with opportunities to lead global assignments and contribute to improving the IKEA Food business.

Job Responsibility:

use different insights to create a demand plan for the portfolio of products under your responsibility, leading to a forecast on an operational and tactical horizon
take part in exciting projects to develop our food range and digital & process capabilities within the IKEA ecosystem
work closely with commercial colleagues at the Range Area and have direct contact with Retail markets
contribute to building a smarter, slimmer, and more cost-effective supply chain, enabling availability for customers at the lowest possible cost

Requirements:

1-3 years of relevant experience from supply chain, ideally from retail
university degree in business/finance/logistics or relevant experience
strong analytical skills with a problem-solving approach
ability to work with an end-to-end approach (supplier to customer), as well as dive into fine details when needed
good Excel user and used to build reports
ability to establish long-term relationships and collaborate across the functions in the value chain
fluent in English, both spoken and written
