Demand Planner coordinates and drives the Demand Processes in partnership with the Demand Manager, Cluster GM and Finance Head for the region. It is a critical role in ensuring long-term visibility and alignment on requirements for the region aligning business strategy high-quality rolling demand and financial commitments.
Job Responsibility:
Lead DP Process for a given portfolio
Partner with the sales organization to gather and challenge Marketing Intelligence to create a high-quality demand forecast
Lead demand planning calls to collect and understand forecast signals from the market
Prepare recommendations for forecast and challenge the commercial forecast numbers
Collect the best knowledge from Local Marketing / Sales and RA teams
Work closely with the finance community to align logistic and financial forecasts by identifying gaps, opportunities, assumptions
Collect and maintain requests for constrained products, coordinate constrained products process
Prepare data needed for regional demand reviews with a focus on risk and opportunities and possible trade of decision in case gap between demand and supply plan
Input data into the forecasting system in line with demand management guidelines and regional calendar
Confirm Orders for MTO countries within the frozen period to assure the best Forecast signal
Identify process gaps and implement solutions to enhance results
Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives, implement new solutions for Demand, Supply, and Inventory
Lead in projects that aim to improve supply chain performance (System changes / Process changes)
Provide any analysis related to the supply chain
Requirements:
Bachelor's or master's Degree in business or other technical discipline
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in demand planning, operations planning, logistics or manufacturing
Experience with forecasting methodology and supply chain concepts combined with an understanding of their inter-relationship in finance and operations
Understanding of MTO/MTI/ATO production strategy and the way forecast should be built for them
Experience with forecast for capital investments projects
Proficient with Microsoft Office package tools, expert in Excel
Knowledge of MS Rapid Response would be an asset
Strong analytical and process improvement skills
Experience with demand and/or operations planning applications, database management tools
Disciplined, independent in executing tasks, but also a strong team player
Driven to deliver high-quality service
Analysis and problem-solving skills such as the ability to question, accurately identify a need, and present an effective solution
Fluent English is a must
Nice to have:
Knowledge of MS Rapid Response would be an asset
