Job Description

This role is responsible for generating accurate, data‑driven demand forecasts using Blue Yonder to support inventory planning, purchasing, and Sales & Operations processes within the liquor distribution centres. Working collaboratively with Sales, Supply Chain, Suppliers and Customer groups, this role ensures high‑quality demand insights that enable optimal stock availability, reduce forecasting errors, efficiencies in working capital and enhance overall business decision‑making.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage the baseline forecast through effective exception management processes
  • Manage the promotional forecast through review of promotional programs and sales data across major customer groups
  • Manage new line forecast accuracy through intensive weekly reviews
  • Manage forecast queries from the supply and customer teams
  • Manage demand transference due to pricing, clearance, long term out of stocks, ranging changes, etc
  • Monitor and analyse forecast accuracy, generate performance reports, and conduct analysis into forecast errors to identify root causes and improvement opportunities
  • Support the sales and operations process by sharing forecast insights that help guide stock, purchasing, and planning decisions
  • Liaise with ALM State Merchandise Managers on forecast queries, and demand forecast uploads

Requirements

  • Blue Yonder experience preferred
  • Understanding of forecasting methods- statistical forecasting and factors that influence demand
  • Understanding of reporting tools including power BI
  • Professional Communication
  • Excellent Problem solving including 'outside the box' solutions
  • Stakeholder management and relationship building irrespective of geographic locations of stakeholders
  • Experience in FMCG
  • Experience in, or working with, complex supply chains
