Requirements

Senior-level DeltaV commissioning capability
able to work independently onsite without hand-holding and make configuration changes during testing/commissioning
PAS engineers: Day-to-day testing and commissioning from the DCS board
DeltaV configuration (sequences, equipment modules, alarms and events), historian integration, DeltaV Live graphics (GEMs), downloads/uploads, hardware familiarity, loop design/configuration, and troubleshooting
Rotation schedule: 14 days onsite, 14 days offsite
12-hour shifts (6 AM-6 PM) for all 14 onsite days
Travel: Flights into Anchorage with onward transport arranged by the client.

Job Responsibility

Provides on-slope/on-site support for process automation systems
leading day-to-day testing and commissioning from the DCS board while coordinating progress and schedule with customer stakeholders
plans, manages, and executes work independently across DeltaV configuration and maintenance tasks, including sequences, equipment modules, alarms & events, historian integration, live graphics (GEMs), system downloads/uploads, hardware familiarity, and complex loop design/configuration
leads loop checks and troubleshooting to quickly resolve configuration issues and ensure system integrity.

Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Chemical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering preferred
Minimum of 6 years of process controls and plant experience
Experience with various process control platforms
Competent skills with Emerson DeltaV DCS and SIS required
TUV Functional Safety Engineer Certification (or equivalent) preferred
Working knowledge of IEC61508 and IEC61511 is preferred
Working knowledge of the Safety Lifecycle and participation in functional safety assessments

Job Responsibility

Provide design of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) including conducting SIL assessments, developing Safety Requirements Specifications, and working in other areas of the SIS lifecycle
Collaborating in the development of logic diagrams, cause & effect matrices, and functional narratives
Provide support for required periodic testing and validation of SIS systems
Design, implement and maintain control systems safety requirements as indicated through process safety assessments
Provide production support, troubleshooting and repairs of existing process controls systems
Provide leadership for the automation design, development and implementation requirements associated with capital projects
Design, develop and implement automation modifications and/or batch recipes in support new products introduced to the site
Assure that all system lifecycle management requirements are implemented and maintained (PMs, Patch Management, Antivirus, Backups, spare parts, etc.)
Actively pursue and implement control system improvements that will positively impact manufacturing capability, consistency and compliance

Job Responsibility

Provide technical assurance and guidance for all I&C and Telecommunications matters during the development and detailed design phases of the regasification, liquefaction, infrastructure, and renewable projects
Work as the Owner's representative in a project(s) with the primary responsibilities reviewing, auditing, and inspecting that the EPC's design and construction are fit for purpose, compliant with project specifications and regulations, industry codes and standards
Ensure that all I&C equipment is designed, purchased, inspected and installed safely and perform to the requirements of the design
Support the commissioning and start-up of the project and will assist other engineers and respond to questions from other disciplines
Handle both project support and technical administration as dictated by the I&C Lead for the project
Provide support during all the phases as assigned, including but not limited to: writing scope of works
reviewing technical specifications, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, construction packages, quality assurance documents, tracking project deliverables
and providing project status updates and technical support during start-up and commissioning
Audit the EPC's design in all the matters related to telecommunication, instrumentation, and control systems, including those inside the vendor packages
Review EPC's and suppliers' deliverables such as P&IDs, all instrumentation and telecommunication relevant documentation
