Job Description:

The Delivery Specialist Advisor role at NTT DATA involves leading Software Asset Management (SAM) and Service Asset & Configuration Management (SACM) activities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead SaaS software license compliance activities, including entitlement validation, usage analysis, and Effective License Position (ELP) creation
  • Monitor SaaS application usage to identify underutilized, inactive, or duplicate users and provide cost optimization and risk mitigation recommendations
  • Maintain accurate license positions by reconciling subscription data, contracts, and usage metrics
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of configuration data related to SaaS and cloud-based services within CMDB and integrated systems
  • Define and maintain relationships between SaaS applications, users, subscriptions, and supporting cloud services
  • Collaborate with ITSM, Cloud, and Security teams to ensure configuration data aligns with operational and governance requirements
  • Identify data quality gaps and drive improvements across discovery, integrations, and data governance processes
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the customer on SAM and SACM-related topics
  • Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on SaaS licensing and asset management best practices
  • Define and maintain SAM and SACM processes, SOPs, and operating models aligned to cloud and SaaS environments
  • Track and report KPIs related to license compliance, SaaS optimization, and data quality
  • Drive continuous service improvement initiatives and SAM/SACM maturity enhancements

Requirements:

  • 7–10+ years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) and Service Asset & Configuration Management (SACM)
  • Strong hands-on experience managing SaaS-based applications in cloud or hybrid environments
  • Proven experience in customer-facing roles within managed services engagements
  • Experience supporting license compliance, audits, and optimization for SaaS publishers (e.g., Microsoft, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Adobe, Atlassian, etc.)
  • Experience with SAM / ITAM tools (e.g., Flexera, ServiceNow SAM, Snow, USU, or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of CMDB concepts, CI relationships, and ITIL-based SACM practices

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and SaaS integrations/APIs is a plus
  • ITIL v4 (SACM / ITAM modules preferred)
  • Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM), IAITAM, or equivalent
  • Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, or GCP) – desirable but not mandatory
