Job Description:

You will be responsible for leading the technical execution of the BMP Retail core product (fleet product) build delivery, ensuring scalable, high-impact solutions that align with business and customer needs. This role involves managing policy and underwriting systems to enable the insurance of various items such as people, buildings, and objects, while effectively managing the policy outcomes of the underwriting process.

Job Responsibility:

Direct engineering teams in developing and deploying the insurance retail core product, ensuring technical robustness and scalability
lead and mentor engineering teams, including front-end, back-end, full-stack developers, Scrum Masters, and testers
implement agile methodologies to optimize development processes and enhance delivery speed
evaluate project estimations and assess technical complexity for realistic timelines and resource allocation
manage interdependencies within the engineering process to ensure seamless integration and consistent delivery
collaborate with product teams to address delays or infeasible requirements, ensuring alignment with product goals
establish rigorous testing and quality assurance protocols to maintain high product reliability and compliance.

Requirements:

Strong proficiency in software development, particularly with Java and PL/I technologies
demonstrated ability to lead diverse engineering teams across multiple locations
extensive experience in managing complex technical projects, focusing on planning, execution, and risk management
ability to analyze technical challenges and develop innovative, practical solutions
deep understanding of agile development practices and continuous improvement strategies
proven track record of managing engineering teams in a global environment
bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 15+ years of experience in software development and technical leadership roles.
