The Delivery Enablement Manager will be responsible for defining, implementing, and continuously improving the processes, systems, tools, and ways of working that enable the efficient and effective delivery of GNI’s investment plan. This role will lead a team that is focused on ensuring that projects and programmes are set up for success from initiation through to handover by embedding consistent standards, clear processes, and strong delivery capability across the organisation and its delivery partners.
Job Responsibility:
Develop, maintain, and embed a suite of end-to-end delivery processes, procedures, standards, and templates for all activities undertaken within the Assets and Infrastructure Directorate to deliver GNI’s portfolio plan
Ensure delivery processes are practical, proportionate, and scalable, aligned to the complexity and risk profile of different programmes and projects
Ensure continuous improvement is central to how the Directorate operates, lessons learned are continuously gathered and used to enhance ways of working
Working with IT and key stakeholders, develop system solutions to compliment end to end processes
Assess and develop training and upskilling material on key capital procedures and processes for internal and external resources ensuring a culture of high performance and excellence is embedded in all Directorate activities
Proactively support portfolio and programme teams at all stages of the lifecycle, from strategic planning through delivery and handover
Work closely with Asset Delivery Managers to ensure consistent application of delivery controls, milestones, and reporting across the portfolio
Support the operation of portfolio and programme governance by ensuring delivery processes align with GNI requirements and regulatory expectations
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Assets & Infrastructure, Finance, Commercial, IT, and Operations to ensure delivery enablement activities are aligned with organisational objectives, while acting as a key point of contact for delivery process queries, guidance, and escalation within the Portfolio Office
Proven ability to handle complex issues proactively, manage disputes effectively, and find practical solutions under pressure
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex issues to diverse audiences
Familiarity with project lifecycles, milestones, and programme delivery in infrastructure or similar environments
Ability to optimise processes in this space, in particular using more effective and efficient delivery approaches suitable to the portfolio of work being delivered
Lead and motivate specialist teams, driving high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Ability to foster cross-functional collaboration and integrate activities with wider organisational goals
Perform other such duties that may be required from time to time
Requirements:
Relevant third level degree, professional qualification or equivalent competence gained through a significant career in a largely similar role
Minimum 7 years post qualification experience in a related role working in a large scale, complex utility
Familiarity with project lifecycles, milestones, and programme delivery methodologies in infrastructure or similar environments, in particular optimising same
Experience in developing system solutions that align with process requirements
Experience in the development, documenting and embedment of new or updated ways of working
Ability to lead, develop, and motivate specialist teams, driving high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Proven ability to be an advocate for development and implementation of change – experience of implementing data management processes and/or delivering system improvements/efficiencies
Experience of the management of 3rd Party Service Providers
Experience of developing and maintaining effective strategic partnerships with key stakeholders would be an advantage
