Job Description:

An Ace Hardware Delivery Driver safely transports merchandise, such as tools, grills, and building materials, to residential and commercial customers. This role involves loading/unloading vehicles, providing helpful customer service, performing vehicle safety inspections, and maintaining a clean driving record. Drivers may also operate forklifts, assist in the lumber yard, and process orders.

Job Responsibility:

Safely operate company vehicles (box vans, flatbeds, or pickup trucks) to deliver products efficiently
Load and unload products, including heavy items (sometimes up to 100 lbs) using forklifts or hand tools
Act as a brand representative, providing the 'Ace Helpful Promise' to customers at their home or job site
Perform pre- and post-trip safety inspections, keep vehicles clean, and report any maintenance needs
Maintain accurate delivery logs, invoices, and handle customer signatures
Assist in the warehouse or lumberyard, including stocking shelves or assembling furniture, during non-delivery times

Requirements:

Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift heavy objects (50–100 lbs) and work in various weather conditions
Strong communication skills and a positive, customer-focused attitude

Nice to have:

Previous delivery or commercial driving experience
Forklift certification
Knowledge of local roads and navigation
General knowledge of hardware products
