Job Description

This represents a key leadership role within the Insurance industry and UK Client Delivery. The key focus is to ensure that high standards of delivery are set and maintained in line with Client expectations. The role therefore covers delivery ownership for major bids within the Industry; ensuring that robust but competitive solutions are scoped developed. In addition, the role encompasses delivery assurance (as the first point of contact for delivery escalations within the Industry) as well as the mentoring of project and service delivery managers to support and accelerate their development. Finally, the role includes liaising with Service Lines to ensure that recruitment and capability development plans re aligned with the Insurance Industry requirements and demand signal. The role is an end-to-end responsibility and potentially responsible for driving 'growth' both in terms of deliverables, managing and mentoring the Delivery Management team who will report into this role and will be a key measurement metric.

Job Responsibility

  • Accountable for delivery estimation for major bids
  • Accountable for delivery strategy and execution across Insurance accounts ensuring that the current and future needs of the clients are met and exceeded, for all services provided
  • Drive expansion plans for existing accounts leveraging trust established at senior levels with InsuranceS Clients
  • Oversee the successful mobilisation of new project teams and the transitioning/commencement of new services
  • First point of contact for delivery issues (escalated beyond the relevant PM/engagement lead)
  • Demonstrate leadership and initiative in driving new sales opportunities based on an in depth appreciation of NTT Data UK and partner capabilities/propositions
  • Act as a key client influencer to determine/shape requirements in complex and often ambiguous environments
  • Bring an up to date understanding and point of view of the current and future trends impacting the Insurance Industry

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience working as the Delivery Director on large scale and complex programmes (£20m+) within the Insurance domain
  • Ideally consulting, project and managed service delivery environments experience
  • Insurance - including Life and Pensions domain expertise (understanding of challenges, regulation, trends and opportunities, and how these can be leveraged by NTT Data)
  • Industry processes and methods, including mandatory knowledge of either General, Specialty, Life and Pensions
  • Delivery approaches and methods, including Agile and Scaled Agile techniques
  • Awareness of regulatory standards and guidance which impact service delivery and risk management approaches
  • Commercial acumen including familiarity with a full range of pricing models and contracting methods
  • Client Influence
