Delivery Consultant, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (Up to 80% telecommuting permitted): Implement and support Linux on Z/LinuxONE client environment. Update hardware configurations using the HMC interface. Implement and support Red Hat KVM and OpenShift environments, including building, upgrading, performing maintenance, and debugging issues. Build and support Ansible automation scripts to migrate workloads from x86 servers to Linux on Z/LinuxONE platforms, including collaborating with client IT infrastructure teams to identify x86 workloads and assist in workload migration. Perform quality assurance testing on migrated workloads to validate application performance and intended functionality. Administrate Linux on companies LinuxONE with a focus on security. Configure and set up internal LinuxONE systems. Implement KVM virtualization on LinuxONE. Configure and set up internal Flash Systems on LinuxONE. Set up and configure Linux-based networking on LinuxONE. Set up and administrate LinuxONE Crypto Express and internal NVMe features. Leverage Ansible to create automation scripts for LinuxONE environments. Perform OpenShift administration, setup, and configuration on LinuxONE. Apply maintenance skills for RHEL on LinuxONE. Utilize: Linux Operating System and distribution contents (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SuSE Enterprise Linux, and Canonical Ubuntu), IBM Z and LinuxONE Hardware and features, KVM and z/VM Virtualization technology, Redhat OpenShift V4, Automation (Ansible, Telemetry technologies based on Prometheus/Grafana), IBM Secure Execution/Pervasive Encryption, IBM Scale (GPFS), IBM DS8000, IBM Flash Systems, IBM Protect.
