Job Description:

Delicatessen Assistant role at Lina Stores Manchester, an iconic Italian delicatessen and restaurant. The role involves delivering warm, generous, and knowledgeable service, championing values of Generosity, Empathy, Community, Heritage, Authenticity, and Quality.

Job Responsibility:

  • Preparing and serving coffee, food, and deli products
  • Selling retail items and sharing product knowledge with customers
  • Supporting food preparation and presentation
  • Maintaining outstanding deli displays and counter presentation
  • Assisting with stock control and deliveries
  • Upholding food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
  • Working across a rota including early, late, and weekend shifts

Requirements:

  • Experience in a deli, café, restaurant, or retail food environment
  • Passion for Italian food and hospitality
  • Confident communicator with fluent English
  • Friendly, customer-focused, and naturally welcoming
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with a positive, proactive attitude
  • Strong awareness of food hygiene and safety standards
  • Flexible availability to work mixed shifts, including weekends
