We are currently recruiting Part-time Deli Assistants for Tipperary Town Plaza. The Deli Assistant provides ongoing support to the Management Team to ensure every customer receives the best quality, service, and cleanliness each time they visit the store. The purpose of the role is to serve all customer, regardless of what area they visit, in a friendly and welcoming fashion, going the extra mile to meet their needs in a clean and presentable environment. All roles require flexibility in preparing, cooking, serving, cleaning, and ensuring a great visit for every customer every time. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Fast-paced “non-stop” environment. Physically demanding at times due to certain requirements of the business with regards to the level of business, quality of staff, and quantity of staff. Teamwork is essential to ensure the procedure runs smoothly in all areas, and communication flows.
Job Responsibility:
To delight customers by exceeding their expectations on every visit
Provide ongoing support to the Management Team to ensure every customer receives the best quality, service, and cleanliness
Serve all customers in a friendly and welcoming fashion, going the extra mile to meet their needs
Ensure products are served to customers in line with Food Hygiene Requirements
Ensure product is displayed in line with merchandising policy
Any other duties assigned by the assistant store manager/store manager
Requirements:
Availability: Weekdays and Weekends
Must interact with customers, staff, and management in a friendly and efficient manner
Carry out duties in compliance with training received and standards set in the Employee Handbook
Flexibility in preparing, cooking, serving, cleaning
Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner providing an exceptional standard of customer care
Communicate with customers in an effective and welcoming manner
Deal with customer complaints professionally and pleasantly
Maintain knowledge of current deli sales and promotions
Assist customers with queries regarding deli products
Ensure Deli area and equipment are maintained to required level of Hygiene
Receive and check stock in line with company guidelines
Ensure product is stored and displayed in line with food hygiene policy
Rotate stock appropriately minimising waste
Be vigilant to prevent stock loss and waste
Conduct stock takes as instructed
Ensure food hygiene practices are complied with in line with HACCP regulations
Take care of health & safety and that of colleagues and customers
Check temperatures in the deli area ensuring compliance with HACCP regulations
Maintain HACCP records
Monitor Critical Control Points
Comply with relevant controls around all foods including Fresh and Red Meats
