Job Responsibility:
Apply knowledge of systems engineering and physical science principles in order to analyze and forecast the weight, balance, and mass properties of aerospace vehicles
Apply knowledge of physical properties of engineering materials, actual weighing techniques, and standard sections in order to optimize weights design criteria and mission performance
Ability to estimate, calculate, accurately measure, and verify mass, weight, and stiffness of components and assemblies
Ability to generate weight reports, weights accounting, and support system weight design optimization
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
7+ years working as an engineer in a related field
Mass Properties experience
Experience with 3D solid modeling software applications (e.g. NX, Catia, CADD)
Experience with three-dimensional parametric modeling using NX/Teamcenter or CATIA/ENOVIA methods and tools
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
Nice to have:
10+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
